The project.
Carina's restoration began with access to the keel: the engine, ballast and sections of planking were removed, and the hull was supported for the work. New lower frames, floor timbers, a stem and an oak keel were fitted.
The recorded project also included new garboards and broad strakes, hull refastening, deck repairs, an engine overhaul and a new pilothouse overhead. This was work on Joe Loughborough's own yacht, rather than a customer commission.
